Sponsored Spin for Chernobyl is happening simply to raise funds for Chernobyl Children’s Project International (CCPI). CCPI develops, facilitates and affects long-term sustainable community-based solutions and provides medical and humanitarian assistance to the victims and survivors of Chernobyl. As always the challenge is maintaining the support to ensure the charity’s work continues and helps those truly in need with on going programmes including medical programmes - supplying medical equipment, trained medical staff, upgrading mental asylums & the living conditions in orphanages, providing foster homes for children so as to take them out of institutional care etc.
In these challenging times the fantastic work of CCPI must continue and to do so your support is more important than ever.
Sponsorship Information
Suggested Target for Sponsorship: €250 per person (please note that this is a suggestion only – any amount of money raised, however small is much appreciated) for which each participant receives:
All proceeds from monies raised will go direct to CCPI so please try to beat the suggested target and raise as much money as you can!
A special prize is on offer to the participant who raises the most money in sponsorship!

Don’t forget to join us for some complimentary refreshments after your cycle/run/walk. The Leinster v Saracens match will be on view so why not join us for a few scoops.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING SAFETY & INSURANCE NOTICE:
We trust that the cycle/run/walk will proceed safely and smoothly and in our preparations for this fundraiser we have adhered to all Garda requirements. In case of accidents, a first aid crew will attend the event. You will be aware however that cycling and running are strenuous and potentially hazardous activities. When you register for the event on Saturday 16th October, we will ask you to acknowledge in writing, that you are aware of the inherent dangers of taking part in a cycling/running/walking event and to confirm that you do so entirely at your own risk. For those of you cycling in particular,if you wish to take out personal insurance for the cycle, please do so.
The acknowledgement which we will ask you to sign on Saturday will be in the following terms:
“I acknowledge the potential risks of personal injury inherent in cycling/running/walking and I agree that I am taking part in the cycle/run/walk at my own risk. I hereby waive any and all claims arising out of or in connection with personal injury to me which I may have against the organisers of the Sponsored Spin for Chernobyl 2010 event or against Chernobyl Children’s Project International.”
